EDGERTON, Kan. –The City of Edgerton is poised for another boost with the imminent arrival of a new travel plaza and fueling station. ElevateEdgerton!, the lead economic development agency for the City of Edgerton, is thrilled to announce the addition of Maverik, which will be one of their first stores in the State of Kansas.
Maverik represents more than just a pit stop for travelers; it embodies a strategic investment in the economic vitality of our community. Maverik fuels adventures in more than 400 locations across the West. Known for their premium BonFire™ food and excellent values on fuel, drinks and snacks, Maverik sells exclusive products such as fresh-made, gourmet burritos, sandwiches, pizzas, toasted-subs, cookies, and coffee blends from around the world.
Maverik will create a multitude of job opportunities for local residents, ranging from retail associates to managerial positions. Through fuel sales, convenience store purchases, and ancillary services, Maverik will also inject new dollars into our community, supporting local businesses and municipal services.

Maverik plans to build a roughly 6,000 square-foot travel plaza on the southwest corner of Homestead and 199th Street. It will feature various amenities, including freshly prepared food, mobile app ordering, merchandise, and a rewards program. Site work has already begun with vertical construction anticipated to begin in mid-2024.
